Mike's Family Christmas Party

We had our annual 'early' Christmas Eve celebration with Heather, Ron, Ashton, Amanda, Nana & Grandma Nancy. It was really nice and simple. Seems there's our family 'theme' for 2008 lately was being so simple. We had really good time & cool lunch having sandwiches. We opened our gifts and we enjoyed the gifts!
Now looking forward to next year's Christmas Eve Celebration!

Lucas's Haircut (Boo-Hoo says Mommy)

Such a cutie!!

Well, we knew it is time! Lucas has grown his hair with gorgeous curls in the back, unfortunately, he was starting to look like a 'girl'. So I asked my mom that he needs a haircut, and I even had some tears. But it was worth it! I think my mom cut off at least 2 inches of hair (I know!!). That's why I was taking the pics of the haircut and show you the newest '2 years old Luke'. Oh why do they have to 'grow' up so fast... that's life!

Parker's Kindergarten Christmas Program

Parker and his Kindergarten classmates gave an awesome Christmas Program last December. In this one song, (I cannot remember the name), Parker along with classmate Josslyn sang solo part for 'Donkey' for one of the Christmas song. My mom (Helen), Katie, Lucas, Dad (Mike), Heather, Ron and baby Ashton and I came and watched the show, we got the 'front' row (cuz we got an interpreter! nice!). We had a blast watching him. It was very nice and fun.

Nick - the Top Dog of November at school!

Well, in November 2008, Nick's school (& Parker's too), the teachers pick one of their top students for each month for the Top Dog award. Nick got his for November. We were proud of him. Dad (Mike) came and supported! We all came early to have yummy breakfast (donut, cereal, banana, muffins with milk or orange juice). Nick was so excited and got his award after the breakfast was done. We are proud of him!!

Lucas's Birthday is on Thanksgiving Day!!

Well, funny thing...Lucas's 2nd Birthday ironically falls on the same day as Thanksgiving Day. Well, that's how it goes. We celebrated Thanksgiving dinner first in the earliest afternoon. Then when it gets dark like about 6ish, we celebrated Lucas's Birthday. It was blast and fun to watch.

We had cake that I made with M&M's. Funny, my dad Buck was laughing and showing everyone to look at the cake I made. It says 'Luke 2', I was gonna put down 'Lucas 2' instead, but with so many M&M's, I didn't have enough room to add another letter, so hence 'Luke 2'. I asked Dad what's up. My mom Helen explained that Luke 2 is a famous 'story' from the Bible - the birth of Jesus Christ. I was surprised and didn't realized. We all enjoyed that thought and knew that Christmas is coming around the corner as we were celebrating Thanksgiving. It was fun and nice. Lucas (Luke is his nickname) only was able to blew out one, with the help from Dad (Mike). He got really cool gifts, mostly 'cars'. He is crazy about cars or anything that 'moved' like with wheels. So he had a blast playing with the toys. Thanks!!

Thanksgiving Day - November 27th

Well, this past Thanksgiving Day was fun! We had a HUGE Thanksgiving dinner (My parents, us 5, Katie and Kurt plus his parents and his sister with hubby, Kellie, Kristie and Josh, Sissy (Melissa) and my cousin from Colorado R.J. who moved here last summer. It was really really nice and enjoyable to celebrate with a big family and friends, even I was used growing up going to huge family Thanksgiving dinner every year until some changes (grandparents gone, aunts/uncles having their own, etc). So it was nice that 'this year' it was the Post Family "turn". Funny thing, my parents bought Wii games, it was a surprise 'gift' for the family that we can get together whenever we can and play together & we all had a turn and played and had a blast! One other thing, My cousin R.J. brought his X-Box over with 'Rock Band' stuff (guitar, bass guitar, drums, & microphone) and we played music and singing. I took pics of them playing. I had a turn playing drums (it's hard, takes a while), guitar (I did really good and it was fun), & I even had a try with singing - as per 'Rock Band' game, I got 83% for singing, so not bad for a 'Deaf' mom (winking!). It was a long day and night. You'll see...

Lucas & Parker's Birthday dinner

We invited Heather, Ashton, Ron and Grandma Nancy to come and celebrate both Parker's and Lucas's Birthday. Unfortunately, Ron had to work late & Grandma Nancy got ill and couldn't come but Heather & Baby Ashton came. We had an odd dinner, we ordered pizza from Pizza Hut only that we specified what we wanted, they didn't "complied" with what we wanted. They didn't included sauce. It was odd and interesting. Memorable huh?
Lucas started to understand the "Birthday" thing and learned how to open gifts with the help from Dad (Mike) and both opened several presents from Heather, Ashton & Ron and Grandma Nancy. They loved their gift!
Parker started to learn to play the Ben 10 game and we have been playing that few times lately. Lucas loves his 'Tractor Truck' and will go all over "riding" (by pushing) the truck. It was so cute!
Thanks Heather, Ashton & Ron and Grandma Nancy for the gifts! They loved them!
